Scott Carter

Scott Carter is a Principal at AQR Capital Management. In his role, he works alongside the U.S. Wealth leadership team within Business Development. Previously, he was the Head of Trading and Portfolio Financing, where he led the firm’s global trading team and portfolio finance effort, overseeing the trade execution, financing, clearing and cash management of AQR’s funds and managing the firm’s counterparty relationships. Scott joined the firm in 2015 to lead the development of the firm’s Portfolio Finance function. Scott has deep industry experience in a variety of sales and trading roles, including 20 years at Deutsche Bank where he was North American Co-Head of Global Prime Finance, the firm’s equity prime brokerage and swap business, as well as Global Head of Hedge Fund Consulting. Scott earned a B.S. in finance from the University of Rhode Island and an M.B.A. from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
