Who Is on the Other Side?

In most competitive activities, you need skill. But in a lot of places, like in sports and investing, there are other factors at play, such as luck. In this episode, our hosts talk to two people in different fields who spend a lot of time trying to distinguish between skill and luck. Annie Duke, a former professional poker player and author of the recent book Thinking in Bets, made a career thinking about who is on the other side of the poker table. AQR Principal and Yale University School of Management Professor Toby Moskowitz tackles the same question in investing.
