AQR was awarded “Quantitative Hedge Fund Manager of the Year” at the Institutional Investor 20th Annual Hedge Fund Industry Awards. The awards were presented at a ceremony in New York City on May 11, 2023. 

The firm was also shortlisted for awards in the “Multistrategy Hedge Fund Manager of the Year” and the “Institutional Hedge Fund Manager of the Year” categories.

The awards recognize the hedge funds, funds of hedge funds, investment consultants, endowments, foundations, family offices, corporate funds, public funds, sovereign funds and rising stars that stood out for their performance innovation, achievements and contributions to the industry in 2022.  Following a public call for nominations, the editorial staff of Institutional Investor selects award nominees based on how strongly candidates meet the criteria for their respective categories. Institutional Investor then conducts a wide survey of U.S. institutional investors and invites them to vote for the manager nominees. Institutional Investor's editorial staff analyzes the results of the voting to determine the winners.
